python-newt-dbg software package provides NEWT module for Python (debug extension), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-newt-dbg
python-newt-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-newt-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-newt-dbg *
You will get with python-newt-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
